The Program
A government-sanctioned pathway to citizenship.
There is one qualifying route into the São Tomé & Príncipe programme: a National Development Contribution. It grants full citizenship, for life, and it passes to your descendants. Everything below is what we set out for a client at the first meeting.
The São Tomé & Príncipe Citizenship by Investment Programme offers one qualifying route: the National Development Contribution (NDC) from US$90,000. It grants full citizenship for life, processed entirely remotely in approximately 8 weeks from formal submission of a complete application to government decision. Open to applicants of all nationalities except the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. No residency requirement, no travel obligation.

- — The National Development Contribution is payable only upon approval by the São Tomé & Príncipe Citizenship Investment Unit.
- — Submission and processing fees are payable at the time of application and are non-refundable. The submission fee includes the Government Due Diligence process — due diligence is not charged as an additional fee.
- — Document issuance fees cover the passport, national identification card and citizenship certificate, charged at US$750 per applicant — adults, spouses, children and infants alike.
- — Eligible dependants: spouse or de facto partner, children under 30 (financially dependent), and parents aged 55 and over.
- — Open to applicants of all nationalities except the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
